Regardless of what AU accounts are on your report I'd have a hard time believing Chase is going to dish out a $5k card to someone with a $12k income.

This as well

Yep, Amex uses an internal scoring model. The fact that you're an AU helps your case.
I wouldn' have thought they count that. My little brother should be set if he ever wants his own.

Most banks require at least 30 or 35 income for a 5,000 card, so I don't see them giving the card either.
Buddy needs to stick to Amex if dad already has black and he is AU.... They probably fork over huge to him based on that... or else have dad call up!

What ever happened to actually doing and earning things for yourself? He may get there eventually but he's not there yet.
If 12k is his actual income as he stated, the OP honestly doesn't deserve a CSP. As an adult Chase has no legal way to go after his parents' assets in the event of a default, and therefore they shouldn't be used as leverage for a card that someone with his stated income has absolutely no business applying for.
With an income of 12k, a 2k limit is more than enough and it's frankly a lot more than he should have gotten.
