Will anyone approve with open unpaid collection on report?

Scores around 650 but have 1 two years old single open collection for 19k.

Will anyone approve with that?

@CreditGuy03 how much have your individual scores changed since the ones in your signature were pulled?  (I ask because of the "garden until 01/01/2016" line.)  If they're all around 650, you certainly can be approved for a number of cards, although not likely with the best terms.  While you likely can't be too picky, you certainly have options.  What type of card are you looking for?

I need to update those scores this collection dropped them down from 629-650

When you say "gone", were they involuntarily closed due to AA or did you close them yourself? Do you still have the Freedom and the Barclays CC (Commence)?

My mom has 2 unpaid collections on her report (both under $2000) and just got approved for AMEX Cash Magnet with $1000 SL. Infact, all her cards (Kohls, Capital One, Care Credit) were approved while she has had these collections.

Also, is the unpaid collection associated with a medical bill or something else? What are your combined/total CLs and current utilization?

As @K-in-Boston mentioned upthread, it's possible that you could get approved for *something*, but your SL or APR won't be so pretty.

Sounds like you're just looking anything that will approve you, why? What's the strategy here? You have more than enough cards to build/rebuild, time to hit the garden while paying down other cards and work on paying off the collection.
