Will applying for new amex card affect 3xCLI?

Hello all, 

Sorry if this has been asked before.  I have had an amex card for about nine months and I wanted to apply for another one but my 3xCLI is coming up in the middle of May.  Does anyone know if getting a new card will affect if I am approved for the 3xCLI?  My current credit score is 716 I have no negatives but a very very very short history which I am trying to work on by getting another amex.  If I had to pick I would rather try for a bigger credit limit (Amex is my highest now at 9k next highest is Citi at $4,800) than getting a card that will add a year to my AAoA but I am not sure which one is better in the long run.

Any helpful advice would be great

Getting the new card in itself will not affect your CLI request.  Just remember you can only ask for one CLI and then have to wait 180 days to ask for another in any of your cards.
