CSR confirmed that the AAOH option is available for out of staters as of 6/7. I applied shortly thereafter. Will update when I receive a response.

How long does it generally take from the time you fax your app until you get info from them (email, welcome packet, etc.)? I'm still waiting to find out if I was able to get in under the wire for the Parks Dept., or if I'll need to join the Arts. I wonder how long they're going to keep that option open. It's odd that they are allowing one for out-of-state and not the other.

I signed up under Parks just this week. I do not remember seeing anything that said the Parks was no longer applicable.

Maybe it is, I will have to wait and see.

I did send them an email with a question about on-line access and they simply told me to wait for my information to arrive.

Not too worried at this point.

I do not remember seeing this when I joined, but it may have been there.

May not work out! I think seeing the bank transfer of initial funds will tell the story. I would expect to see that tomorrow...

When did you submit your app? I technically submitted mine 5/29 but was not actually received by them until 5/31. Got the hard pull on 6/6 but nothing more since then... was expecting to see the bank transfer but nope. I am worried about calling... hoping that some how this slips through...

Does the app process say anything about being a member of the Arts? I didn't see anything about the arts when I signed up online last Friday, so I'm wondering how people are joining that way.

If they deny through the Parks, do we still have the option of joining the ARts on the same app, or do we need to re-apply (which  would me another hard pull)?

FRom the time I got the hard pull to receiving the welcome email. For me it was 2 days.

So application-2 days later hard pull and 2 days later welcome email

Hmm...I saw the hard pull immediately, $6 withdrawn a day later, and then received the app in the mail 3 days later, mailed it back, and I have yet to receive a welcome email (that was over a week ago that I had my hard pull).

I would call them (the new memeber application dept). I did everything by fax. I did the application online, printed it, faxed with SS card, DL and Park receipt. They call me to confirm my address and 2 days later I got the Welcome email.

No, I don't live in PA.

I really just lucked out on that one. I was sitting down one night and decided to apply, so I just made the cut for this new requirement. I have a Park membership.
