gotta be a year for you due to card act and AF... Also assume your card has > 5k cl.. So you gotta wait a year or just apply for the card flat out
I PC'd my brand new Platinum to the Flagship in three days.
I don't believe Navy cares about the CARD Act apparently.
If im remembering correctly, you can pc the a new card one time within a month of getting the card but after that you'd have to wait out a year for another pc.
I just called NFCU.
You can PC any time with NFCU and they will adjust your APR at time of PC.

I wouldn't agree with that statement. Their cashRewards card has been stuck at 1.5% far too long. All of NFCU's serious competitors have already transitioned to 2% cards. Similarly, the Go Rewards and More Rewards are still stuck with $25 minimum redemptions. I wish NFCU would lose their complacency and make those three cards more competitive.

I do agree although if you want a low rate no thrill card the platinum is one of the best on the market and they did make chances on that fairly recently to lower the APR and that one is hard to be beat IMO. This card being the flagship is fairly nice buff/offering, but the 1.5% can be brought to 2% and the others can be lowered to no redemption thresholds like the cashrewards, but suppose that is how they make some money on redemption thresholds on their other cards.
Are the poins from GoRewards transferable if PC or apply to the Flagship? Also are NFCU PCs regular or is it like WF's "i'm actually going to open a new account" PC?
I have a large cruise bill to pay in December...guess I know which card I will be using.

HA! November for us. I'm very interested in it.

1. Points cannot be transfered between NFCU cards.
2. NFCU product changes are legitimate product changes, not a closure of an old account and an opening of a new account.

Thanks for clarifying! I'm weighing out if I shoud PC GoRewards to Flagship. I think I've average ~$120 cashback from CashRewards and have only 110 points sitting on GoRewards. Only my mom uses it as an AU... I could still come up ahead even factoring the AF..
