Re: Your top credit goal of 2013

1.) Get my scores above 700

2.) Pay UT% down to <10%, currently at ~35% (hoping this will accomplish goal #1)

3.) Discover IT and Chase Freedom

Re: Your top credit goal of 2013

  1. Get all scores above 700 and stay there (it fluctuates)
  2. Pay down debt (have some 0% accounts that I'm taking advantage of but it's not helping utilization lol)
  3. Apply for CSP
  4. Finally get an AMEX revolver (they don't like me for some reason...had my Zync since 2011 and usually spend 1-1.5k a month)
  5. Continue to get soft CLIs to help overall utilization!!
  6. Garden...so inquiries can fall off and accounts can age, so that I'm ready to start the home loan process sometime in the first quarter of 2014

Re: Your top credit goal of 2013

Regarding credit cards, I'm in a happy place!Smiley Happy

I have all the credit I could possibly need/want, so the goal for 2013 is to STAY in the Garden, let everything grow and mature naturally.  Remaining in the 800 club is the objective, something I've never been able to say...til now.

Continuing to pay down the balances of my other, fixed payment loans will also help accomplish this goal.

All in all, a very good place to be.  And much of my success is from advice and information from this website.  And for that, I'm grateful.

Re: Your top credit goal of 2013

I actually completed my only goal as a relatively new CC holder, accepted to Amex. Got the Blue Cash Everyday. I really wasn't expecting to be approved since my history is only a year and a month old.  But I've been up on payments so my FICO score is pretty good. Just glad to get my foot in the door.

I'm at 5.1k Smiley Happy i figure I can squeeze in two other CLI requests this year, so i'll try $7500 in May, and if i get that, 10k in september!

Haha and i'm sure it's possible! The furniture gets up there...not to mention I was looking up cappucino makers online...you know they have a $3200 model?! That's FLIPPING insane!

Re: Your top credit goal of 2013

I reached my FICO score goal earlier than expected; I'd like to be able to continue to remain above 740.

I reached 760+ on my EQ score, but had it drop after acquiring a couple of new cards. I'd like to get it back above 760 and rejoin the ranks of the myFICO high achievers.

Later this year I'd like to buy a new car. So, I hope to get an auto loan with an excellent APR.

And finally, I want to garden, garden, garden my cards. I'm so very happy with everything that I have in my wallet and just want to sit back and watch them age. My overall goal is to develop a strong, stable credit history. Now that I'm done with rebuilding and have the cards that I want to keep for the long haul I feel well positioned to do just that.
