I was denied Chase Amazon (old version). Lending has told me that they don't consider a banking relationship because it's "discriminatory".


Yes...I'm not entirely sure what to make of that.

 

I've heard Chase say that, too, but at the same time, anecdotal evidence suggests being an existing customer can help when a person is new to credit.

 

Maybe it's because Chase already has some proof of the CC applicant's identity. Maybe it has no role.
