i would try a secured cc.
if you have the cash to put down 1k + it would be really benificial later on.
if i knew about secured cards a few years ago i would have just done that instead of taking on litterally dozens of inquries and being denied for lack of revolving accounts.
then again i didnt know the difference between a chase sapphire and a cap one plat or an amex at that point.
