Around 25,000 hotel bill, but I was getting reimbursed by work.
Reimbursable expenses from work is a different story. I've had a couple of 2 week stays in NYC where the final tab easily topped $5K. There was a time where I was in the top 5 in my company in travel expenses.
Paid $18,000 property taxes for 2 owned homes at 6.25% cash back. Bank of America new card promotion( for initial period) 5% cashback and 25% bonus for $300 or more redemption.
I had to pay 2.5% commission for property taxes for paying by Credit cards.
To control utilization, I paid credit card first and then charged the credit card.
Nevertheless, single transaction with good reward

18% gratuity was included in the tally.
It was an end of year company dinner, so full write off. Gaining good will with people and the restaurant is better than paying the marginal tax rate on the money.
