chase freedom holders new and old.

i logged into my chase freedom account and clicked more info on my account and it said 23.24% cash advance interest and 0% on purchases.

does this mean that there is no interest charged on anything if i did carry a balance until the promotional balance transfer deal is done?

also at sears.com you can get 5% cash back (using freedom) and 50$ off when buying 2 appliances 399 or more. sadly my limit is not that high. so id have to max and pay the rest cash =/.

Congrats on the promo! If this card used to have a different APR, your new statements will show multiple balance categories - one for each APR. Thus, only new purchases (things you bought since that 0% showed up) will be at 0% and will not accure interest, while existing purchases/BTs/etc continue to acrue interest at the previous, higher rate until paid off. Luckily, any payments over the minimum automatically apply to the highest-rate balance; so do your best to pay above the minumum, and soon you'll really begin enjoying that 0%!

wow yeah i checked my last statement and says introductory purchases expire 11/2013.

so i can carry any balance with no interest.

and also have the bt offer of no interest until 11/2013 so 14 months of no interest on anything.

thats pretty awesome since i wasnt even on planning on doing that.

applied for the 100 cash back.

anyone else that has gotten this card in the last 6 months have this?

now if only they do no hard pull cli.

Re: chase freedom holders new and old.

When did you open the card? Mine's older, and they've yet to offer something like this to me :/ Good luck with that CLI...Chase is notorious for requiring HP and only occasionally does auto-CLIs

july of this year.

they only gave me 500 but im just happy to be approved at the time. (i guess i shortchanged myself but i had a 70% util at that time)

i only had one other non store card and it had 500 limit so im assuming they matched it.

but since then ive also gained a 2k non store revolver. and 4/9 accounts have 2k+ limits.

so in 2 years ill ask for a cli when my accounts are 5k+(wishful thinking) and hopefully they will match or do better.
