I know this question came up in other thread but I figured that I would make a new thread so It didnt get lost. Chase does still offer the 7% annual bonus! I just got my card in the mail today

yeah i heard it shows up when you receive card, but it doesn't show up anywhere on their site, which is slightly disconcerting

I'm sure they have either made a mistake on all their sites by removing it or if I had to bet money they will be phasing it out completely after the end of this year / beginning of next year (just like how they phased out the 10 UR per swipe on the Freedom).

This was the old reward system for those with a checking account. You got 10 points per transaction in addition to the usual points. This led some to do hundreds of micro-transactions. One guy on Flyertalk got shut down after getting a 300+ page bill, each line earning 10 or more UR!
