chase slate CL question.

i got approved last week but they only gave me 400.00$ CL my friend also applied the same time.  here is where it get weird. he has 6 cards all carry a balance and he pays monthly, i had 2 only one carried a balance which was my bestbuy card. his credit limit is 6000.00$ our incomes are the same only difference he owes 3000$+ in cards i owe barely 1000$ why is mine so low? I am thinking it's a fluke, because we both applied for amex zync, i was instant approved, they declined his but gave him the option for a 200$ hard limit.

in my wallet:
Amex Zync : NPSL (main card always pif)
Discover More: 6,500$ (no balance)
Chase Sapphire : 5000.00$ (no balance)
Citi Thank You Card backed by Amex 8,200$ (no balance)
Amex Blue Cash 21,000$
Best Buy Store Card : 5,700$ (I'm a nerd so used a lot)

Re: chase slate CL question.

I have a feeling its beacuse Chase is trying to make him Balance Transfer all his util to the Slate card.  After all, the Slate is designed to be paid off over time.  At least, thats how they advertise it.
