the citi simplicity card lists the benefits as "No late fee/No penalty rate/No annual fee."

so what happens if you do pay after is minimum due date? for example the minimum is due on the 16th, statement ends the 20th, payment is made on the 17th? any preoccupations internally with citi or credit reports?

While the card offers the convenience and flexibility to not jack up the APR to a penalty level or slap a LF, it basically allows the instance in case of an "ooopsie" or oversight.

That being said, internally the system will still code it as a late payment which could likely impact potential CLIs or PCs.
