checks sent to them takes like 9 days to clear..... I don't want to move money from my bank account to the navy fed bank account to pay off the bill. thx
Yes
I'm not sure if I understand the question, but I always pull money from my bank to pay Navy. Whether it's for a credit card or an installment payment. I never pay by check. It's secure and fast. I do it all on my mobile app.
Well yea, like most major banks/CUs, they accept/perform ACH transfers.

Are you asking about a pull or push payment to Navy? Pulling a payment is not an issue, I have no experience with pushing a payment to them.
Making an ACH card payment is no issue with NFCU, but depositing money into a savings or checking account is another story.
For what it's worth, I pay my NFCU cards using USAA's billpay service (i.e. I "push" payments from USAA).
Payments are submitted via ACH, and my NFCU account is usually credited within a day or two depending on what time I make the payment.

I have a checking/savings with nfcu and have had no problem tranferring money from my local bank account to them through external transfers, easy peasy

FWIW I send an ACH push to my NFCU savings account each month as well, and it always shows up promptly (either later the same day, or the next day).
IDK what it is with local my bank, but no what matter I try, it always sends a check that can take up to two weeks (if falls right) to show up on my NFCU. I can push ACHs to other FIs with no issue. Of course, all of my other CUs have the option to transfer it from external account on their apps, and that's even easily. I'm not sure why NFCU does offer that? It's not a big deal for me because NFCU savings accounts don't earn much anyway, so I don't really have much money in their savings account.
I do love pretty much everything else about NFCU though!
