Re: fingerhut

Yep, I remember my mom using Fingerhut back in the day.  Smiley Happy

I've had a Fingerhut account since 2001 - they do only report to one CRA (which stinks!).  I didn't buy anything from them for like 3 years straight, but they never closed the account on me.

On a side note, they recently had all their clearance items on sale for an additional 50% off, and I got a 15 foot round (metal frame, not inflatable) Intex above ground pool for $245 - less than Walmart or Target charges for the exact same one.  And that included shipping!

Just be careful about WHAT you buy from them...some of their stuff still looks junky to me...

Re: fingerhut

Regarding Fingerhut, they also report to TransUnion. I had a Fingerhut card several years ago and they reported to my TransUnion CR.

I would think that 500 + fico score would put you in a good position to be approve.  They start you out with a low CL and are not very fast with the CLI.

Well

Just wanted to let everyone know that....I got declined for a fingerhut Card.  I applied over the internet.  I will just wait and try another 6 months from now

I already have one cc in excellent standing which is Orchard bank.  Through my credit is horrible, I heard that fingerhut will approve you.  I already got approved with Crown Jewelers.  So if you are anywhere near these scores or below do not apply.

Experian 510

Equifax 440

Tranunion 536

I know horrible!!!... working on being in the 650's by August 2009

Re: fingerhut

So tired of ALWAYS being denied for credit ...I ingnored their pre-approval for $300. But my fiancé encouraged me to reply, so I finally replied to Fingerhut's offer about an hour ago and was approved for a $350 credit line! I broke my 'no more inquiries until June 2010' promise, but whatever it'll lower my credit utilization and help with my evil EQ score; so I feel better! At least I was approved for a change and damnit it felt gooooood Smiley Very Happy!
