Some creditors will deny for too many INQ's

They only count in scoring for 1 year.

Interesting, so 2 or less doesn't harm your score more than a point or two typcially?

My experience is slightly different than Timothy's.  I have noticed that the first one doesn't hurt me, but two or more do, up to a point.  Once you have a certain number, they stop hurting entirely.  I lost zero points when I went from 7 INQs to 8 on EQ, but that number will vary depending on one's profile.

What you said about a point or two is not a safe assumption.  INQs hurt those with high scores more than the rest of us.  If your score is very high, just one INQ can cost 10-15 points or even more.
