lowering capital one standard apr by request

has anyone had any success with this? my standard apr is 24.9 and 19.9 . i have never had any success with capital one when requesting a lower standard purchase apr.

was it by request? how old is the account? above 810 FICO?

He's had the account since '08. His scores at the time were 720 ish. Yes, he requested the reduction.

it could be the age of his account. that may be why I am not able to lower my interest rate.

I had mine lowered as well; this was years ago though so I don't recall the details too well.

I had called in to ask for a CLI (inquired to make sure it'd be a soft pull before they checked) and they could not give me one.

Asked if they might be able to lower the APR instead since they couldn't give me a CLI and they did.

Edit: I think I may have mentioned that I used my BoA more because it had a higher limit and lower APR.
