Ok Heres the scoop.... I was AU on DH Sams Discover And Discover, paid down a chunck to drop UTL and they balance chased so I removed my self as AU. That was back in March. This is how MPM report shows this morning still. I know I will loose the AAoA from both once totally removed ( opened 1/2003) but my thinking is with them both showing a limit and a balance and neither have updated since April, are these still being factored into my UTL? According to Credit Karma they are. With out them my UTL is 7%. With them it is 41%.
Should I write and dispute "Not Mine" and have them both taken off? I think I should since they dont update. But is there another reason to keep them on that I am not seeing?

The first one looks fine on all reports except TU but the 2nd one I would get rid of if it's still with balance... and since they already show you terminated I would just delete. on both and save the trouble of trying for other fixes. it's faster and easier... can't imagine it's really helping... especially IF any scoring system calculates it by any chances!
Sometime you have to disputed with all 3 CRA if you removed yourself as AU......I run through this same situation not too long ago.....
If you dispute as "not mine" or "no longer responsible for this account" it will likely come off the next day. That's what happened when I was in the same situation.
Afaik all three CRA's instantly delete AU accounts if you request removal but warn you that the account could be reinserted if you are not removed. You can do that or if the balance is now $0, dispute that the balance reported is incorrect but this could trigger a deletion.

+1
I did that on two occasions. Disputed as account not mine and they were removed since I was not the primary account holder and only an AU
Ok thanks everyone! I didnt think there was any positive side to keeping them on my report and doing more damage than good !! letter are both in envelopes waiting to hit the mail! With such a long AAoA on his , maybe when I am done rebuilding and getting his UTL down I'll add myself back but right now, this is what helps me :-)
Thanks for the input!
