I'm not sure about your reporting question, but it's not too early to ask for a CLI. I recently accepted the offer for a J Crew card when I was shopping online; the offered CL was $500. I then call into Comenity here and asked them to consider a higher CL.. They raised it to $2,000, but did require a HP.
I am trying to avoid hard pulls right not for 1) I might not get approved with fico scores at exp- 581, eq-612 & tu-547 and 2) I am trying to avoid hard hits that would cause my score to drop even lower.
With Comenity if you request a CLI over the phone you will usually get a HP. If you request online via the luv button it is almost always a SP, YMMV! Comenity usually makes you wait 9 months before getting a CLI though. DW has an Express card that reports $0 bal so I am not sure how to answer your reporting question. We do use the card though and PIF every month. Good luck and congrats
Is the "request an increase button" the same thing as the luv button? I have it on my screen now. I want to make sure it is gonna be a soft pull. I clicked and it asked for my annual income. Does this sound like the Luv button?
Yes

Yes, that is it. Remember your experience could be different than others though. I don't want you upset you got a HP when others haven't. DW has never received a HP from the CLI button online. Good luck and let us know what you decide.
Thanks Scupra . I pushed it and got the 7-10 msg. I hope it's a softie but if not...that's what I get for being impatient. I will get over it. The good thing about it is that my score can't fall too much lower than it already is.

Let us know! I bet you will get a letter stating your account is too new ![]()
@TigerRed wrote:As I am waiting to receive my victoria's secret card approved yesterday 8/21/2014 (from shopping cart trick). I am trying to get as much info as I can on how to use this card to my advantage to get my CS up. I read the Comenity does not report unless there is a balance. For this reason should I always let a small balance like $10 or $20 report on it, instead of making sure that it reports at a zero balance every month? I want to first tell you that I am re-building and only have one other card which is an SDFCU Visa Secured $1000. This month is my first month of it reporting and my balance on the statement was $47 (almost 5% of CL). In regards to my new Victoria Secret card, is it too early for me to try the LUV button? What does it look like and how do I get to it? As always, your input is greatly appreciated.
Since you only have one other CC, I wouldn't recommend letting a balance post on this one if you're letting a balance post on that card. VS usually takes 9 months to hand over an initial CLI. I let a balance post after getting my 9 month CLI to get the new CL to update.
