Have you called Ex and requested early deletion?
For August they probably won't do it until May, but it doesn't hurt to try.

I have one set to fall off next month and they still said no! and I called back and tried 3 different reps. After 3 strikes, I stopped
And if that works for you, great. Let's face it, hearing NO sucks.
That said, it takes only one YES even if you get 20 people saying no before. You can think of it as "each NO gets me closer to the YES."
Do what works for you. ![]()

Yeah if you have an account scheduled to drop off next month there should be no problem with finding someone to do it.
LOL. Amex will still be there when you get ready. FYI...
I was preapproved for the AMEX Green and AMEX Gold less than a year ago...not interested in applying for a "charge card" but rather have a revolver...I stupidly applied for AMEX Clear and AMEX BCE...DENIED! Then they pulled the preapprovals for GREEN AND GOLD...lol
I read on another thread that someone had success calling about an hour before quitting time.
Just an FYI...
Hope this helps.

Well I was told over and again no. My annual report last year said my foreclosure was estimated to be removed march 14 but the csrs kept telling me they couldnt remove until July. My other last baddies (both paid and closed) not til june and August. So I triedan online "obsolete" request. Woke up today to notification that the fforeclosure acct was deleted, and they removed the June one I didnt even dispute!
I called Amex and the caveat is that that Oasis card has to be open for at least 12 months to comply with the program rules. Im sure another annual fee too :/ so looks like August I can safely close and reapply.
If I apply in august my EX will have 1 baddie set to fall off, its a paid charge off from 2007. Does amex frown on that? Or should I just wait until Sept?
Congrats on the cleanup of your CR! My guess you will be okay wth that single baddie falling off in Aug.
