I'm not sure I follow. If your account is eligible for an upgrade, your current card would be upgraded.

Meaning when I look at the list of the credit cards some say apply and some say Upgrade.. that's what I mean. If I click upgrade is that an application for a 2nd line or is that a product change with an annual fee.. you see what I mean?

Upgrade/product change same thing, if the new card has an AF-then yes there will be an AF.

For example, currently my account shows an upgrade from my PRG to Plat. If I choose to upgrade, I would no longer have the Plat and would have to pay the AF (it can be prorated) for the Plat
