question on amex backdate

I just revieved my new AMEX BCE the member since date says 2014 on the card. When I created the online account it says member since 2007. Does that mean on my credit report it will show since 2007 ?

Yup, what's in the account management screen will be what shows up on the credit report, or at least has in every anecdotal report I've read here.

I just got approved for an Amex today. I also have a Corporate Amex since 2006. I asked if my card would reflect 2014 or 2006 and they told me to call in after I receive the card and ask to have it reissued with the 2006 member date.

Does that mean it will reflect 2006 on my credit report as the date opened?

It is hit or miss with corporate cards. Some have been lucky but others have not been able to have the MSD changed.

I was one of the lucky ones. Had a corp Amex from '05-'07 and had my BCE I opened in Jan backdated to '05 after calling and requesting. They promptly changed it and issued me a new card reflecting new MSD.

I opened a PRG Amex in March 2014; however, have had a Corp card since 3/2006. Just checked my credit report and it shows my account was opened 3/2006.

Call and ask to be backdated. Were you an AU on the account from '07? If yes, use the account when you call and have it changed. That is what I did.

Based on my experience your cr should show 2007 if that's the year you opened your first amex card.
