"chances of approval"

I see this question quite often here, mostly from the rebuilders. Why not do your best to clean up your files and go into an app KNOWING you will be approved instead of chancing it with a mediocre file??

Challenge yourselfs to stride for the BEST possible CL and APR  and not will I even be approved for this card. Smiley Happy

Re: "chances of approval"

All cards, homes, loans all start at the same place your CR

That being said if your CR is as clean as possible and they don't have to be perfect but you odds of approval for any credit related product is greatly increased.

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Re: "chances of approval"

but some people always PIF and are only interested in the rewards and sign up bonuses. in that case all they want is approval.

I work with small CL with payments every week

Thos Is true but im trying to point out to the rebuilders here that apping shouldn't be a spur of the moment thing they should have a gameplan and have their baddies resolved to the best of their ability before apping. Don't app just to app or because you want the card now.

I agree totally can't do anything w/o a plan for which card you want and why you want it.

Re: "chances of approval"

IMO, the excitement of being back in the 'game' is exhilarating and instead of slowing down and fix those things that may have been negatives- they try to push the envelope. App sprees on extremely thin files, severe CAs reporting and high util are just the tip of the issues I see when I try to delve into why are' you asking if you can be approved.'
