Approved 10/2/2008 for $10,000.
Only pulled Equifax - 643.
I will wait two weeks for 4 gas cards to be paid in full before apping for the Mastercard.
Super Congrats BlueBayou!!!
$10,000 right off the bat with Navy Fed is a great start!
You're smart to pay off the cards and wait 2 weeks, but I
recommend that you apply for the Mastercard within 30 days
of approval of your Visa. The folks in Credit Card Services always
ask if the info on your application has changed within the last
30 days, so this is why it's important to app within that timeframe.
If there are no changes, they'll use the same info that got you approved
for the Visa.
Once again, Congratulations on the new $10,000 CL. Please keep us posted
on your progress with the Mastercard. Enjoy!!!!

Just approved for NFCU nRewards Mastercard $10,000.
I was thinking since I read several posts that they use same pull to go ahead and apply for the Mastercard as well. I waited a few days after the Visa approval to apply.
Thing is, they pulled Equifax again and I thought it would be denied.
I had paid three of the gas cards off, however, they won't report till after statement close of the 13th. One more gas card and a CapOne card to be paid off that DD maxed and run over the limit (which was posting as such) and I should hopefully see a huge jump in scores even with 2 new accounts posting. All five cards that I paid off are from 1999. And all five WERE in DD's possession. They have since been repossessed!!!
This is really going to help my utility.
NFCU rocks!!!!
I'll post back with the score change---
Super Congrats Again BlueBayou!!!!
That makes 20 grand of new credit with Navy Fed
in the space of a week. Not bad for government work...
Sorry for any confusion re same info/same pull.
As you now know, Navy Fed pulls EQ each time you apply for a new product.
But if you apply within 30 days of your last approval, they'll use the same
information on your application to qualify you. This way, you won't have to
resubmit paystubs, utility bills, etc. in order to get approved.
Since you've paid off your other cards, you should see a really nice pop in
your scores. It'll be nice to hear how that turns out...
Once again, Congratulations on the new Mastercard. Navy Fed really is the best!!!
