seeing some of the other juniper posts..i'm hoping for some advice or opinions..In april 2007 I opened an Apple store /juniper card..have had it since then only got a stinking $250 cl. I have asked in the past NO. I've asked to lower apr bc it's like 22.74 NO..I've even used it alot and paid off for a while recently before then I didnt use it a whole lot bc it's a low cli, high apr and no love..

sooo..

Re: should i stay or should i go?

I had the Carnival Seamiles cards with a $500 CL. I used it alot and constantly PIF. I called a few times about an CLI but was always denied so last month I called and canceled the card. I don't plan on doing business with them again. my TU score was 600 when I got the card and after getting my TU up to 700 I was still denied for a CLI.

Re: should i stay or should i go?

I would give them a little more time- they seem to hate other activity (apps, inq's)

I really need to call and combine my Seamiles to my Plat -

They are a weird lender-

Re: should i stay or should i go?

If there is no AF leave it the way it is for few more months and see what happens. You already took a hit on your scores with Hard Inq and new account. Let it age and gain some scores back to you. With little luck in the mean time, you might get a CLI also.

If there is no AF, just leave it
The slide from grace is really more like gliding
And I've found the trick is not to stop the sliding
But to find a graceful way of staying slid

Re: should i stay or should i go?

ok thanks guys and gals..i called them and spoke to 2 people..the only thing they said they could do was lower apr but listen to this..it was lowered from 22.74 to 20.99  what the heck??!!!

the guy told me they like to see usage, not sockdrawering..i told him i just pulled my ficos and they had increased since getting the card, also advised i use and pay off in full or leave a small balance like $10 or less..he said they dont use ficos once you have card  they use their own internal scoring process..
interesting!

but he said maybe if i used the card more it would see some love..i told him that i didnt use it more for the reasons i stated a low cl of only $250 and a high apr. I have had the card 9 months..

i told him i will give it until 12 months and if still no love i will close it...so  i have been using for gas but only like $20-30..

next question--should i use more of the card like $100 and then pay down to under $10 before bill prints and goes to cra???

Re: should i stay or should i go?

Hi bamagirl,

I received automatic CLI on my Juniper card after 1 year....went from $2000 to $3500. Hang on to it and wait it out!

By the way...did you have any luck getting LI on your JC Penney card yet?

Congrats on your recent increase in Fico scores too!!

Re: should i stay or should i go?

veeNvegas--
thanks so maybe there is hope at 1 yr mark..

about jcp, they funny thing is i charged like $80 on my $150 card since i read about usage and since they weren't willing to budge by phone or online, the end of january, i got a letter saying they increased my limit from $150 to $300 so it's still small but a little victory..

thanks about the scores, i'm working hard plus it's addictive..hahahha

Re: should i stay or should i go?

Congrats on that JCP CLI!  Try for another in 3 months...that's what they told me was the time to wait in between requests.
