store card to Visa version? best buy& nordstrom

What are the circumstances etc to get these changes ? got a 2k bestbuy store card and 1500 nordstrom store card i dont think i had an option to choose the visa versions when applying

You may need to do a new application with Citi for the Best Buy Visa if you are already a store card holder. I don't believe they offer a product conversion and would be a new trade line altogether.

Not sure about Nordstrom...maybe someone else can chime I.

Citi Retail Services did some limited conversions from store cards to MC a long while ago. However, it is uncertain whether this was a one-time conversion event or whether they'll do this again in the future.

Since the co-branded version is now issued as a Visa card vs. MC, and if approved, the option now exists to select the Visa or store version.

For Nordstrom, at minimum, the CL needs to be $5K to be considered - it's all based on eligibility.
