trying to convert to a cash+ card...

I have called their customer service every few months since I opened my account a year ago (got an email today thanking me for a year with the card) . I called again today and the agent said that I should visit the branch to request a conversion as she couldn't. I'm on vacation but had a banker I remember and contacted her. She said that she would see what she could do and get back to me.

I hope I can finally get it. The five percent on cellular bills would be awesome for me!

Re: trying to convert to a cash+ card...

Keep us posted and good luck! I just applied for the Flex Perks (as it's the only one other than store cards that I can apply for in my region) in hopes of doing the same thing within the next year.

Re: trying to convert to a cash+ card...

I actually called yesterday and asked about a PC to the cash+ and I was told I was eligible and they submitted my request. I have had my existing card for a little over 6 months.

I have called and never been told and upgrade was an option. I am starting to get frustrated the card had no value to me in its current form Smiley Sad

Don't give up keep asking it only takes one yes .......Good luck

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Here's the other thing, the CL (to qualify before the PC) needs to hit at least $5K.  Have you requested a CLI?  It will be HP though.  However, no HP for PC.

Banker called me back and indicated that she could get me converted to the Cahs+ but I needed a credit limit increase done to five thousand first. She said she could call and request it but wont be untill tomorrow she said I could aslo call and I found this website here.  Which option should I use?

Bump.

I thought for sure they were going to dent my request. I'm tempted to call customer service and ask for the upgrade now.

Re: trying to convert to a cash+ card...

I had a Flex Perks card as well and they always said my account wasn't eligble because I didn't use the card that much. It only had a 1500 CL which I was running up and I PIF'd. The CL didn't meet my needs and they didn't want to CLI me without a HP or PC my card to Cash+ without a HP. Closed my account. Agent didn't even blink an eye.

However, good luck with your PC. It seems like something simple they could do over the phone. YMMV.

As of 2017, rebuilding...
