I've been working on my credit over the last 6 months and have had lots of improvement. I'm wanting to find an unsecured credit card that might give me atleast a $1000 CL. Right now I have 3 cards. Capital One--$300 limit, Credit One--$600 limite and Kohls $300 Limit. I've heard having an unsecured card is better than a secured not sure if that's true or not, but those are usually the ones that give the higher CL. My scores are finally at 657, 642 and 615.
Does anyone know or recommend any?
Have you tried any of the GE cards? Walmart, Amazon, Old Navy, etc? They may start you out at a lower limit but they are excellent with cli's

I was trying to steer clear of any other store cards. Was looking more for one that can be used anywhere.

Oh, ok. Wish I could help more but I am fairly new to all this. My first card was the boa 99/500 card and then I got a walmart card. I got a small credit limit and did not qualify for the walmart discover. But 3 months later as my score came up, I was approved for the Sams Discover which can be used anywhere. I don't know if you are interested in that but I thought I would tell you just in case it helps. Discover approved me after a recon intially when I was starting out but I can't remember what my scores were at the time. Maybe someone else will chime in and see if that's something you could do. Good Luck!!

Bank of America... I have one with a $1k limit. Generally they unsecure in about a year and some people report some generous CLI's upon 'graduating'.

Walmart, Old Navy, Gap, etc are usually upgradeable to Discover (or Visa in Old Navy/Gap's case) once you go over $1K... That can happen in 6 months to a year if you hit up GECRB regularly for increases (every 4 statements).
