No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
Credit cards in my wallet:
-U.S. Bank Cash + (2% restaurants, 5% fast food & cell phone bill)
-Chase Freedom (5% groceries this quarter, restaurants next quarter)
-Sallie Mae WMC (5% gas & groceries - I'm currently giving Freedom all of my grocery purchases)
-Citi Doulbe Cash (uncategorized spend and bill pay)
-Amex TrueEarnings (Costco)
Currently while a mortgage may be in the cards:
- Sallie
- Freedom (backup or when I have a useful 5% quarter - Chase's -> $0 on payment reporting actually helpful for this)
Everything else benched, other than the business Chase Ink sometimes.
After theoretical close or mortgage bust:
- Sallie (gas primary and Amazon goodness)
- Freedom (5%)
- Amex BCP (groceries)
- Fidelity Amex (everything else)
Bench:
- Zync (occasional real use)
- USAA
- BOFA TR (should've PC'd this to BBR when I could've, may try anyway for giggles... if I start really travelling I'll get a different travel card but goto forex card still)
Cut:
- Walmart, though just got a pretty 0% offer in email today good till August sometime, and if mortgage hits, probably something they sell which I may need though not expecting cash shortfall post mortgage, if not it's generate a statement and cancel over the next two months.
- DCU secured -> normal DCU no rewards, similar time horizon or may wait till 2016 if mortgaged
Here goes:
In my Wallet:
Discover It (rotating point categories)
BoA Cash Rewards (gas + groceries)
Sock Drawer (Bench):
Barclay Apple Rewards
Cap1 Platinum
Closing:
Cap1 Platinum (I've been able to get CLI's to keep UTIL low)
Working towards an AMEX EDC.
