The inquiries hurt your chances so try not to apply for a year and go for it next summer.
Try CCCU if you have good income to debt ratio. I have like 15 inqs within 2 months period and score of 625 Ex when they pulled the report. CCCU approved a $2.5k CL instead of $5k I asked. So at least to them inqs not matter much, at least in my case. And $2.5k to me is kinda good for low 600s score/high inqs.
