so was i, v. skeptical at first that it could work out. but sure enough i had the new cards (2) in hand in about 10 days. cr updated to an acct. opened date in 1990 another 10 or so days later, except ex. amex credit dept. told me to 'dispute' acct on ex so they would resend older opening date and about one week later all 3 cra's showed the older date on all my amex accts.
