American Express: Where Are Investors’ Rewards?

An article detailing the core problems facing Amex. The line I found interesting was this one:

" Credit Suisse analysts estimate that Amex’s reward costs are 20% lower than peers on average, and 60% to 70% below the more aggressive products in the marketplace."

Re: American Express: Where Are Investors’ Rewards?

I have The Plantnum CArd, rewards are really crappy. It's basically .6-% for every point. pGW is better, bust still not that good. The black card has 1.5% turn in for cash, so it's double.
Discover has the 5% per quarter, so that's why I buy mine stuff when they have a good rewardsZ the Amazon rewards is very good as well (for certain, gas food, Amazon
