Re: BOA job loss prediction for 2023

Old article realitively speaking(oct 2022 if that is old?) with the recent layoffs from tech to financial to likely every industry preparing for hard times and tightening the belt to survive the recession we likely have been in for awhile now along of course with more efficencies.  The flip side of the coin when they re-hire alot of said people it will cost them a ton more due to lost knowledge, training up to speed, etc.. of course depending on skill-sets etc

Some people on this board are all about doom and gloom and making statements that do not align with the facts.

Those in charge should not be making these false comments.

Re: BOA job loss prediction for 2023

It was article from Business Insider regarding BoA's outlook for 2023 from October 2022.

Please don't shoot the messenger as they say.

Here is more recent article (Jan. 2023) from CNBC where BoA's pessimism was reaffirmed and slightly more so:

https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2023/01/13/bank-of-america-expects-a-mild-recession-but-is-preparing-for-wo...

"That pessimistic case, which is more negative than it was last quarter, calls for unemployment to rise to 5.5% early this year and remain at 5% or above through the end of 2024, Moynihan said."
