Interesting...we have two Barclays/Apple card accounts in our household and while I have no great affinity for Barclays, they seem to have treated us OK. I like our Marcus by Goldman Sachs high yield savings too, I'll be curious to see how smoothly the rollout goes, and what becomes of the existing accounts.

<--- raises hand. LOL. Barclays won't even pull my credit (dang Juniper) I'm AU on the wife's Uber and I'm surprised they even allowed that.
When are the changes going into effect? Anyone know?
@creditguy wrote:I just read this morning in the Wall Street Journal that Goldman Sachs and Apple are teaming up to issue a new Apple Pay branded credit card through Goodman’s Marcus division. No real details issued yet except that it will replace the Barclays Apple rewards Visa. Goldman Sachs is trying to make their entrance into the credit card market and this is their start. Should be interesting to see if they can make a go of it. It’s gotta be better than the Starbucks and Chase issuing a card.
I'd be interested to know how this card is doing for Chase. I'm in Starbucks quite often and have yet to see anyone with it...although I must admit that many folks like myself pay via the app or pre-loaded funds.

I'm out due to an old Juniper as well.
Barclay's is the only creditor I'm still shut out from (that I know of, anyway). It's not a huge loss, but occasionally they do have an interesting product (Sallie Mae (RIP), Uber, etc.)

Not exactly something I'd fret over UnkaB.😁
Im out due to not wanting to bother with this bank.😂
I'm hoping Goldman Sachs releases their own card, since I'm not a I-slave either.🤣
It is very interesting. Good news imo. I was reading about it earlier today after seeing it mentioned in a BarclayApple post. I'm willing to wait and see what happens. Apple is always in my future. This partnership sounds like a better deal than current... for me, anyway.
"back the card?" Not sure what you mean.

It’s a card I would really like to have, but barclay won’t touch me for some reason unknown. Curious who would back the card though that’s for sure.
