Since I'll likely never fly Emirates I guess that this product isn't for me anyways, but I've heard great reviews on them!

Luckily Alaska just notified me of their pertnership with American.

Seems too niche. Unless you're typically only flying to UAE or don't mind a stopover, how often is one actually going to fly Emirates or redeem miles on them? It's not like they have a huge network of codeshare partners, and the JetBlue/Alaska loyalists are likely better served accumulating miles in their respective programs rather than in Emirates.
