Nope the creditor said my report was froozen so called oversees and asked about this and he said the last time was it was thawed was a few months back. I was like say what I lifted it but obviously it wasn't.. Was on hold 30+ minutes and he promised me it was now thawed... Yep you guessed it called the creditor back and it was still froozen. This company needs to go out of business they can't do anything right and we trust them with our information? We don't have a choice is the thing that is sad. So ya can't get what i want done due to a completely incompetent cra that proceeds to mess up time and time again... /rant over until I call the EO on monday and loose it on them. If anyone wants many numbers at the EO of Equifax I will glady share them as I despise all of Equifax Just send me a PM.
Not trying to start a political discussion here, so I won't reply to anyone who replies to this... But when I was watching their former CEO testify in front of the Senate, many Senators brought up a great point about how i'ts really an unethical business model to store people's information when they never even gave Equifax permission to do so in the first place... And then on top of it, charge the consumer for the right to access their own information. Please do not respond, just read and acknowledge.
The former Equifax CEO has stated that Equifax is rolling out mobile and web based "locking and unlocking" so that creditors are unable to access your reports whenever they want, including soft pulls, and all of this will supposedly be free. When will this roll out? He said end of January 2018, and the lock/unlock will be free.
