Saw a couple CNBC snippets that were posted which apparently used this as source data after reading through it... was trying to google for how many Americans actually had a credit file at all but found this instead which has some really interesting things in it including average balances for different samples and different credit types and a bunch of other things TBH, at least to me, including this gem:
