Great travel locations with wide CC availability

Hello all,
Just wanted to say as I am currently in Spain on vacation with my wife and daughter I was amazed at nearly every place I have went to so far taking visa mc and Amex. In Northern Europe the number or places accepting those cards dramatically declines. Funny here in Spain that even small villages take cards mostly because in Spain Santander is everywhere so just a small heads up to anyone thinking of coming to Europe Spain is very card friendly. Northern Europe not so much. PS Discover sorry you I think are not accepted in too many places outside the USA.

I just returned from a trip to France, Spain, and the U.K. - all of which I was able to use my Discover card. Most ATMs and/or merchants accept the card or their partner brand, Diner's Club International.

I believe Discover still has partnerships with JCB and UnionPay, so it would be very useful in parts of Asia.
