It's a FAKO, no correlation to a FICO score.  But given that high on their scoring standards would reflect a positive CR.   Smiley Happy

Re: Has anyone ever hit 850?

Yes!  Just enrolled in the FICO score from Barclaycard, and I'm an 850!!!  I've been over 800 for at least a year on Experian, but consolidating even the smallest credit card balances onto an equity line of credit, paying off the new balances every month, never missing a payment, having a Mortgage, car loan, and equity line seems to be working.  Hubby is 830 now, and the only reason we don't match must be my 30+ year old Macy's account that I opened before marriage.  It took a while, I'm 57, but FINALLY reached 850!!!  Don't give up......

Re: Has anyone ever hit 850?

Wow!  That's awesome!

I recently converted my Discover Card over to a Discover It account so that I could view my Equifax (?) FICO score and keep a small balance under $100 on it.  The score flucuates every month but the highest I've seen it is 817.  I try to keep a few accounts with small balances thinking the activity that might help boost it up rather than have everything paid off.  Maybe what I need to do is pay off the new balance each month?  My credit was established in 1979, both cars are paid off, always current on mortgage, never pay late on cards, rarely apply for credit... not sure what the trick is but I look forward to opening the Discover statement each month. Just to be clear the fico score you get from discover is TU not EQ. They pull EQ when you app but when they give out free fico score its TU, which they also use for CLI.

I've often wondered if there was anyone out there who has ever attained the so-called "perfect score" of 850.  According to this article, 825 seems to be about as high as anyone could ever attain.

I've been scouring these forums during the past week and everything I've read indicates that once you reach the higher score buckets (new lingo I picked up!), it really doesn't make a difference as far as getting lower interest rates with lenders.  I tend to be a little on the obsessive side, so I guess reaching the "holy grail" of credit scores will be forever elusive! Smiley Tongue

The highest score i have ever seen is an 845 EQ Fico score when my cousin was approved for the Discover It card when she got her card it had her score with it.

My highest has been 817 on EQ & TU

At least two posters on this board have reported receiving 850 scores from ALL THREE credit agencies, which is an amazing achievement.

In June 2014, a former moderator of this board named fused received 850 scores from all three credit agencies, as described in this post:  http://bit.ly/1nJhVbd

Re: Has anyone ever hit 850?

Feel free to add DW. I’m not quite there yet; perhaps it’s due to my EX AAoA being just six years when stripped of AU accounts.
