Hillis Slack Settlement with Equifax and MyFICO. Is this legit?

I didn't know if this was in good taste or not so I will just leave this as a question. Can someone please answer. I removed the link.

It's legit, as are a couple of other settlements with CRAs. The terms of the suits I've seen thus far, including Hillis, are pretty weak.

I'm not eligible for Hillis, but I wouldn't participate.

May I ask why you would not participate? I have not been involved with things like this before. Have no experience why/what/why should I take free service if I got what I paid for, ect. Was I cheated? I don't know. From the web site it just stated 3 free months I think? I'm just interested to learn from your response if you would like to share. Thank you. My understanding on Hillis is the lawyers get $4 million, two class reps get $7500 each, class members get 6 months free access ONLY if you agree to automatic bill at $8/month after the 6 months. It's a freakin' marketing bonanza.

If I were eligible for Hillis, I'd file an objection.

Its legit. I just got an e-mail the other day and they are going to give us 6 free reports. If you did any business with equifax you are automatically listed. This happened to me with sub sub sub-prime Cross Country Bank and we got credit line increase.

i used their monitoring service at so much a month and when i cancelled it they were very rude. i will take what i can get. they also give me my lowest score!!!!!!
