So much irony here. I guess they were afraid someone would hack the IRS and erase our tax records so we all don't owe anything.
With as much responsability the CRA's place on the consumer it is very sickening to see how lax the security was at Equifax. If this does not spark some serious change in the way personal data is handled then I doubt we will see any changes in the near future.

If they're "the best" availavle to perform security operations, we're ******.
I don't understand why more agencies and corps aren't canceling contracts with them after such a monumental and completely avoidable screw-up. There are always clauses included for loss-of-reputation type failures like this.
