Is $1 a Gallon Gas at the Pump Around the Corner?

Hey Folks, Smiley Happy

Since crude oil and unleaded gasoline prices are dropping like a rock,

there is a real possibility that we may very well see $1 a gallon gas

at the pump very soon.

Here's a Yahoo! article from today (Fri, 5 Dec) with more details. Enjoy! Smiley Very Happy

Re: Is $1 a Gallon Gas at the Pump Around the Corner?

Hi Folks,

I'm watching CNBC right now and I noticed that the prices

for crude oil and unleaded gas continue to drop dramatically.

The New York market closed early today at 1pm Eastern Time.

But in aftermarket trading, crude oil is now $35.65 a barrel and

unleaded gas is priced at 79.27 cents a gallon.

From what the experts are saying, once oil hits $30 a barrel

unleaded gas will trade at 70 cents a gallon. So for all of you

folks who live in low fuel tax states, $1 a gallon at the pump

is a very real possibility.

Who woulda thunk it??!!! This summer gas prices peaked at

$4.50+ per gallon. Now we're talking $1 a gallon within the

very near future. If it wasn't really happening, I'd never believe it...

it's pretty amazing.  i'm pretty jealous, too, since i keep hearing about some people getting less than $1 already, with shopper cards.  too bad we don't have any of those around here Smiley Sad
