Chase seems to have it's eye on becoming a global bank, beginning in Europe.

It would be interesting if at some point Chase were to work like Amex and allow foreign cardholders to use their internal payment history to open US accounts.
JPM is already a global bank. The key difference here (and based on the article) is the retail side in expanding its banking services.

If that translates into access to services such as obtaining a Chase mortgage for property in Europe, it's still a plus.
