More bad advice

Articles like this frustrate me: https://www.cheatsheet.com/money-career/purchases-charge-credit-card.html

The overweigh psychological aspects and teach people to avoid things rather than understand them...

Not one mention of the advantages of using cashback or rewards cards in these scenarios.

If you build it, they will come.

Re: More bad advice

The article makes the assumption that you'd pay these things with a cc ONLY because you couldn't afford to pay them otherwise. That's silly and at odds with the author's recognition that these days we use ccs more liberally than in the past.

I agree that if you're using a cc because you can't otherwise AFFORD to buy groceries or pay the rent or cover your student loans you're in big trouble, but in that case saying DON'T DO IT isn't helpful.

Then the dumb article contradicts itself, telling people under two adjacent entries that they should use ccs ONLY for necessities, then that they should NEVER use ccs for necessities.

You're right GrasshopperStudent, this is an irritating and frustrating article.
