The public knew of him as Ned Johnson, but for those of us who worked at Fidelity Investments (I'm ex-fmrco) he was always known as Mr. Johnson. It was under his leadership that the company grew to the point that the amount of assets Fidelity had under management dwarfed even Chase Bank. His family today confirmed that he passed yesterday.
