New 5% Cash-Back Perk With The Simon American Express Credit Card

Cardholders can now earn 5% cash back on all purchases made at any store within Simon centers along with 1% cash back on all other purchases. There’s a $10,000 annual limit on the 5% category, but that’s a lot of Auntie Anne’s pretzels.

I didn't previously know about this card, and it sounds like a good fit for me.

"There is one catch that comes with this card’s upgrade: In order to receive rewards during a statement cycle, cardholders must use their Simon® American Express® Credit Card* five times." 

You also have to shop "in-center" i.e. in-store to get the 5% back.

My thought was that if I go to a Simon mall at every 6 months that I probably make 5 transactions in one visit.  Before I moved to where I live now I was probably at the mall twice a month. I suppose this is a YMMV kind of card.
