Nixon orders St. Louis business to repay customers
St. Louis Business Journal

"Magic Credit Repair in St. Louis County has been ordered to repay nearly $6,000 to 27 customers it charged it advance for credit repair services, Attorney General Jay Nixon said.

In addition, Magic Credit Repair and its owner, Mark S. Girgis, must also make restitution to any other customers who paid for their services and file claims with Nixon's office before March 20.

Nixon said it is illegal in Missouri to charge in advance for credit repair services.

Most of the consumers paid fees between $150 and $250 to have their credit problems fixed, and most were from the St. Louis area, Nixon said."
