Couldn't happen to a nicer debt collector.. They have been slapped many times in the last few years. Maybe one day they will learn to obide by the law
This is some months old but it's good to know that the rules still apply and that they can be held liable:
It's interesting that Portfolio tried to completely quash the suit, based on the old adage... no "concrete harm" caused. This would indicate that Portfolio wilfully and deliberately failed to report the disputes, playing the game that they couldn't very well be called out on it. Disgusting. Bad faith actors like these need to be sued into oblivion.
