I personally think this is crazy. Not getting into politics here but just my two cents. I doubt it will happen, but could be wrong.

The whole point of the Fed is that it isn't supposed to be influenced by politics. It's also a big kick in the pants to anyone with savings or bond investments as it will slightly help increase borrowing by taking away from interest and returns on those types of accounts.
