In my stumblings around the interwebs trying to find a way to project the value of travel rewards, I came across an article in US News & World Report valuing credit cards' rewards, including travel cards. The info may be old hat to travel card afficionados, but I found the charts helpful:

Key Points:
- A handy chart showing the best and worst redemption values for specific cards.
- Even handier charts showing value of airline, hotel, and cruise partners. Virgin Atlantic is a goldmine.
- "53% of respondents earned more than $300 in rewards value within the last year; about 20% earned $1,501 or more."
- TL;DR: "When you choose a credit card, find out how much you can get from its rewards program by researching both its earning and redemption values." And if you transfer points to a partner, check the redemption value there as well.
